Last time I wrote an introduction to RGB++ isomorphic mapping. Today, many friends suddenly asked me related questions, saying that it is very popular in the market, but sometimes it is called $BTC, and sometimes it is called $CKB. Various terms are flying all over the sky, which makes me confused. I will briefly sort out some questions and my answers here:
1. Are RGB++ assets BTC assets or CKB assets?
RGB++ assets are first BTC assets, because the RGB++ protocol does not require the use of CKB as a carrier.
No matter where an asset is initially issued, as long as it is bound (leap) to a BTC UTXO through isomorphic mapping, it is considered an RGB++ asset;
In other words, as long as it has not leaped to BTC, it cannot be considered an RGB++ asset.
2. Can assets on CKB become RGB++ assets?
Yes, this is the charm of isomorphic mapping, which is what the wizard @0xcryptowizard calls "L1/L2 duality": In theory, any asset on CKB can be mapped back to BTC through leap operations, such as .bit @DIDbased assets, and even COFFEE issued by Portal Wallet a long time ago.
Currently, there is no public plan to leap back to BTC, but I believe that in the near future, all assets on CKB will be stamped with a BTC certification mark
3. In addition to xUDT on CKB, what other assets can be isomorphically mapped through the RGB++ protocol?
Thanks to the openness of the RGB++ protocol, in theory, any asset carried by UTXO can become an RGB++ asset, and even the native asset $CKB itself can leap back to BTC and become "BTCKB".
This is also a major vision of CellStudio @ckbcell for UTXO Stack, that is, in the future, all L2 issued through UTXO Stack can automatically obtain the same capabilities as CKB, and assets can be transformed into BTC assets of the RGB++ protocol with one click.
Finally, the above information does not constitute investment advice, but only my views on RGB++ isomorphic mapping, so I cannot give you an answer to your question of "whether to buy or which to buy". But I want to remind you that in the dark forest of crypto, keep safety in mind when buying, be careful to identify projects, and never authorize or give private keys on the page you can, otherwise no matter how much you buy, you will be doing it for others.
